Job Summary
Serves as a business and procurement specialist supporting the AFRL Sensors Directorate with strategic oversight, acquisition coordination, and program management for products, support services, and organizational IT-related acquisition needs. This role assists with the full spectrum of acquisition activities from market research through contract execution and compliance.

Required Skills
  • Support strategic oversight and program management as a business and procurement specialist for Sensors Directorate products, support services, and organizational IT-related acquisition needs
  • Assist with acquisition strategy development and resource allocation planning
  • Manage government purchase card activities, including transaction compliance and documentation
  • Conduct market research and prepare requests for quotes
  • Manage vendor communications and evaluate offers against purchasing business rules
  • Prepare and maintain procurement documentation, including shipments, payments, and discrepancy resolution
  • Support logistics and funding actions across the acquisition lifecycle
  • Coordinate contract acquisition activities and identify issues requiring resolution
  • Develop recommended improvements to acquisition processes and procedures
  • Support sole source/limited source justification development
  • Coordinate small business participation and stakeholder collaboration
  • Maintain compliance with applicable FAR/DFARS and agency-specific acquisition regulations

Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree preferred in acquisition management, business, finance, public administration, supply chain, contract management, or related field. Associate degree plus relevant acquisition/procurement experience or equivalent DoD/Air Force acquisition support experience may be accepted.

Minimum Experience
4-8 years supporting DoD/AF acquisition, procurement, purchasing, program management, acquisition strategy, resource allocation, government purchase card operations, vendor coordination, procurement documentation, and acquisition process improvement.

Required Certifications – at least one of the following:
  • SFPC
  • SAPC
  • CompTIA Security+ CE, or Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio training/proficiency
